December 26, 2010  Merry Christmas everyone.  Hope Santa was good to you all.

We had a great day here, right up until someone tried to steal the donation box.  We couldn't believe it...They even had the nerve to try to take it DURING the show.  I guess they didn't realize it weighs 150 pounds.  lol   I just came in now from repairing it, and chaining it down.

We're in the final week of the show, and can't believe how fast the month has gone.  This time next week, I'll be out in the yard putting it all away.  :-)

December 12, 2010  Variety club came by again, this time with 4 buses, and 135 people.  Thanks to all who organized this outing for the kids.

December 8, 2010  I've had so many people ask me what the radio frequency is, I decided to make a sign.  I think it looks pretty good.  I programmed it on 2 channels, so I could do some funky stuff with it.  It only runs during the breaks.

December 4, 2010  Lightup went without a hitch.  The button to start the show was a great hit.  We had about 250 people show up, probably because the weather was so nice.  Thanks to everyone for all their help, we are looking forward to another great year.

December 4, 2010  Steph came by with the crane truck to take some aerial photos of the display.  Cool as it was, I did not like being up there...  :-)

<right> Brett and Kyle working in the neighbours yard.

November 28, 2010 Steph came over today, and we were able to power up most of the display.  We ran a quick test, and all should be good for Saturday.  We still have 10 or so hours of fine tuning, and I actually still have some programming to get done.  Other than that, we're ready.  :-)

November 27, 2010  WOW.  Did we ever get a lot done today.  We had about a dozen or so people show up, and we're almost ready for power.

November 22, 2010  This is where we are right now.  You can't tell in the pictures, but it's -10 out and windy.  Almost -20 with the wind chill.  I spent the day inside prepping...

November 21,2010  We had a great day on Sunday.  Had lots of help from Kyle and his friends.  Thanks guys.

It's getting pretty cold out. I was practically begging the kids to go in...  :-)

November 12th, 2010  I just want to plug a remarkable lady here.  Every Christmas Eve, Amanda Taylor and her crew visit the Downtown Eastside to hand out stockings to hundreds of homeless people....  I won't steal her thunder here, I'll let her tell the story...

I first saw Amanda on the local news last year, and really admired her determination, her drive, and her caring nature.  Through that story, I tracked her down,  and offered to help in any way I could.  It turned out, she has visited our display many times.

Although all the money that is donated at our light show is forwarded to Camp Goodtimes with the Canadian Cancer Society, we personally donated to her cause last year, and will do the same this year.  I'm sorry we can't help you on Christmas Eve, but it's one of our biggest nights of the light show.

THANK YOU Amanda.  You do great work.  :-)

November 8, 2010  We've just been puttering around the last couple of days.  Buddy's been a great help too.

November 6th, 2010  Off and running.  We got a pretty early start this year.  The yard, day 1, Roger unloading, the setup, and the pretty girls.  ;-)

October 31st, 2010  We now have the fence half painted.  The weather is supposed to be nice on Wednesday, so hopefully we'll finish it then.

Hallowe'en is out of the way, so the setup can begin anytime.  Likely this week.

October 11th, 2010  We are well under way for this years display.  We are adding several small arches, and continuing the LED conversion.  Some of the music is picked, but none programmed yet.  This weekend saw me pressure washing the entire fence.  Hopefully I can get it painted by the end of the month...

And so it begins...  lol

August 14, 2010  Well, I finally got the website updated...  It's only been 9 months.

This year, rather than synch the countdown clock with the computer, we have made a manual trigger to start the show.  One lucky kid in the crowd will get the honors of pushing the big green button.  :-)

Pics on the right of last years panel being put to rest.  Seems I'm always disassembling something.  lol
